Clay Williams
Explained

Clay started his career in advertising as a secretary at a boutique agency in LA nobody remembers. Within three months he’d conned his way into the creative department and his first campaign, for a surf company, won a bunch of awards. From there he took his typing and copywriting skills to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco. Then back to LA, where he eventually became a managing partner and creative director at TBWA\Chiat\Day. On the agency side, he created the Taco Bell Chihuahua and sat through 12,947 meetings. He became a director, first as a team at Crossroads Films and then, deciding he was too bossy to share, going solo at MJZ and Community Films.

Clay was a history major at UCLA. He’s a neat freak, a fifth generation Californian and is married to a judge and has a twin sister. (Back in the days before in-vitro fertilization and double-wide strollers, that was kind of a big deal; in fact, soon after they were born, one of their older brothers brought them to school for Show-and-Tell. That was his theatrical debut.)
