DJay Brawner

DJay Brawner is an award-winning filmmaker from Los Angeles, CA. Finding a place within the music scene as a teenager, Brawner began a career directing music videos. A graduate of Chapman University’s directing program, Brawner has gone on to found two production companies for both long-form and branded content, produce and/or direct 12 feature-length films, several documentaries, and well over 300 music videos.  

Brawner’s work has garnered Webby and Kid’s Choice Awards and earned VMA nominations. Through his many years working in music videos, Brawner has collaborated with artists: Corey Taylor, Danny Ocean, Ty Dolla $ign, ASAP Rocky, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, Thrice, Charlie XCX, and Melanie Martinez, among many others. His branded work includes projects for Snapchat, Google, Facebook, Adidas, Nike, Coors Light, Guess, and Vans. Brawner's work has now received over 150 billion views online. 

DJay’s work strikes the balance between the stylized cinematography of a film and the intimacy of a documentary. His passion is to create deeply engaging, darkly comedic and emotive works that paint complex portraits of subjects. He is currently a director and co-founder of TUFF.
