Meghan Frederico has directed national broadcast commercials, branded content, and documentary-style spots for clients including McDonald’s, Olay, Secret Deodorant, Ensure, and The Honest Company. Recently, she directed a short film for Disney that was released with A Wrinkle in Time and supported by Ava DuVernay.
In 2015, she was named filmmaker of the year by Tongal, an Ad Age A-List agency, and her doc-style spot for McDonald’s was awarded best long-form video of the year. Meghan got her start filming bands including Neon Indian, Magic Man, Azure Ray, and Hooray for Earth. Before working in film, she studied Government and Psychology at Wesleyan University, where she was a captain of the ice hockey team. She went on to work as a research assistant at the Harvard Kennedy School for Public Policy, where she also ran Harvard’s human rights film series -- an experience that got her excited to pick up a camera herself (occasionally on rollerblades).
