Paz Ramirez is a Chilean director and screenwriter, whose adventurous character has pushed her to live in several cities around the world. Growing up in a family of actors and actresses, she discovered at a young age that her place behind the scenes was the directors’ chair. She studied Visual Arts in Valparaiso, Chile, attended film school in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Documentary Film in Santiago. She has been paving her way in the industry since her early 20s, working as First Assistant Director in advertising, feature films and TV Series such as Profugos from HBO and the film NO, nominated for the Oscar’s.

Driven by her curiosity and courage, she migrated to Toronto in 2013 and quickly  began collaborating with local musicians and filmmakers, directing several music videos for Canadian artists such as Lido Pimienta and A Tribe Call Red.  

Paz's profound interest in art and storytelling has been materialized in audiovisual pieces that question the boundaries of fiction and documentary, and will continue propelling her never ending journey. She is currently based in Chile, working in advertising projects and on the post  production of her first short film “Ferns”, which received the financial support of the Chilean Ministry of Culture.
